Mar. 12, 2021 – Dan was once again the featured speaker at the SAP DesignBytes monthly guest speaker series.  He spoke about the “Foundations for a successful Design System” and how it should include and capture IxD Semantics.

Feb. 18, 2021 – Dan delivered gave an invited talk at the World Class Designer conference (Africa based intercontinental event) on the Semantic Experience Design method captured in his book UX Magic.

Feb. 16, 2021 – Dan is happy to have joined the Future of Design Education project as a member of the Design Methods working group which will focus on the range of methods and the pedagogical approach to teaching them that would be recommended as part of the proposed (ideal) design school curriculum.

Jan. 15, 2021 – Dan will be delivering two half day tutorials at the 2021 HCI International conference (July 24-29, 2021).  One will be on Interaction Design and the other on Applying Game Theory within graphical user interfaces.

Dan received the 2019 ACM SigCHI Lifetime Practice award.  The ceremony took place at the Chi2019 conference held in Glasgow Scotland.  He gave his invited talk on “The Business of UX” to a large audience the following day.  Watch the recording on the SigCHI YouTube channel
